American Citizens Enrollment

The State Department operates a secure online travel enrollment  website which allows American citizens to record foreign travel and residence information. This web-based travel enrollment  system has replaced AIT's paper and email enrollment  systems.

American citizens visiting or living in Taiwan are encouraged to sign up  with the Department of State's online enrollment  system. Enrollment  enables AIT to contact you in the event of a family or personal emergency, and would help AIT locate and assist American citizens during any large-scale emergency in Taiwan.

U.S. Citizens around the world can access this site directly at https://travelregistration.state.gov/. If you are already enrolled  with AIT, please update your enrollment  online to ensure AIT has your current information.

The travel enrollment  service allows you to enroll  and update your contact information online at any time, making it easier for you to keep your information current. The site also provides up-to-date travel information customized to your travel itinerary. The data you provide is secured behind Department of State firewalls, accessed only by cleared State Department personnel, and is protected by the Privacy Act. Information on the Privacy Act is available on the enrollment  web page.

The Department of State would like your feedback regarding the enrollment  service. If you encounter any difficulties or have any questions about the enrollment  process, please e-mail: Caibrs@state.gov. If you have questions about your enrollment  with AIT, or other questions specific to Taiwan, please email amcit-ait-t@state.gov.

AIT maintains a subscription-based e-mail group to deliver notices from AIT about matters that are of concern to American citizens visiting or living in Taiwan. To subscribe, send a blank e-mail to AIT_Citizens-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
